L’Oréal is Europe’s number 1 FMCG employer, with 130 products sold each and every second all around the world. Its brands reach over 1 billion people, and it creates some of the best-loved products on the market.

The company has a respectable dedication to corporate and social responsibility, and its efforts have resulted in several industry and business awards. In 2011, it was awarded the prestigious ‘Ethical Corporate Award’ for responsible business and sustainable development.

Graduate training schemes include Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Commercial, and all involve a two-year personalised programme that recognises recruits as individuals with varying development needs. Trainees could be responsible for anything from launching a new product, right through to negotiating with buyers at big name retailers.

All graduates will receive a mix of on-the-job training, alongside taking part in L’Oréal FIT (Follow-up & Integration Track), which focuses on developing the skills that are needed to take up senior roles in the business. There’s a formal programme of learning events throughout the year.

The starting salary is around £28,000, and all employees receive 25 days of paid holiday per year. There’s a generous benefits package that includes private medical insurance, a contributory pension scheme, and substantial discounts on products.
